Climate decisions are made beyond the lab. Science only changes the world when non-scientists understand its implications.
I create videos, talks, and visual materials that bring climate impacts and sunlight reflection methods (SRM), such as stratospheric aerosol injections (SAI), to life—so communities and decision-makers can see what's at stake, what's possible, and which questions still need answers.
National competition recognizing student science communication skills across all disciplines.
🏆 First Place
A science communication workshop series where researchers learn to translate their work for general audiences through structured coaching.
Alumni🌋 Can Volcanoes Save Coffee & Chocolate from Climate Change?
A plain-language research explainer — 1st Place, Sigma Xi Student Research Showcase 2026 & Young Voices of Science final project.
Most recently, I completed the Young Voices of Science science communication training program, where scientists learn to translate their research for general audiences through structured workshops and coaching. As my capstone, I produced a short film explaining my doctoral research on geoengineering and tropical crop impacts in plain language — no jargon, no assumed background. I entered the film in the Sigma Xi Student Research Showcase 2026, an annual national competition recognizing graduate student research across all disciplines, and won first place in the graduate division.
Solar Geo Society Video: Should We Cool the Planet?
A 4‑minute primer on SAI, broken down into 10 simple numbers.
For one of my first projects as a Solar Geo Society Ambassador, I wrote and recorded this professionally filmed short explainer. The goal was to make solar geoengineering understandable in under five minutes and with only 10 numbers. To understand solar geo, you just need to remember the difference between trillions, billions, and millions.
Climate Briefing Video: What is Solar Geo?
A concise briefing on solar geoengineering—what it is, why scientists study it, and how to think about its risks and trade‑offs.
I was invited to contribute to Climate Briefing, a project where scientists describe climate solutions in plain language as if testifying to Congress or talking at the holiday table in under 5 minutes. Designed for a non-technical audience, this short video distills the current state of climate solutions, the inspiration behind solar geo, and the trade-offs associated with this approach.
Conference Talk: Can SAI Save Coffee & Chocolate from Climate Change?
A 15-min talk on tropical agriculture recorded at the Degrees Global Forum 2025
I discuss how SAI could affect tropical tree crops. This talk connects hypothetical global cooling scenarios to possible impacts on everyday lives, using cocoa and coffee as case studies. I walk through our latest findings and explain how to interpret these results.
